(The grasshoppers are whooping it up in their
hide-out. Hopper suddenly lands in the middle of it. They all stop.)
Hopper: Guys, order another round because we're
staying here!
(The grasshoppers all cheer, and Molt strikes
up the band.)
Hopper: What was I thinking? Going back to Ant
Island... I mean, we just got here, and we've got more than enough food
to last us through the winter, right? Why go back?
(Another
round of cheering.)
Hopper: But there was that ant that stood up to
me...
Axle: Yeah, but we can forget about him.
Loco: It was just one ant!
(The grasshoppers all sarcastically pretend to
be frightened and laugh to themselves.)
Hopper(leans against grain canister): Hey, you're right. It was just one ant!
Loco: Yeah, boss, they're puny!
(Hopper takes a grain out of the canister.)
Hopper: Puny? Say, let's pretend that this grain is a puny, little ant.
(Hopper throws the grain at Loco. It bounces off of his chest.)
Hopper: Did that hurt?
Loco: Nope!
Hopper(throwing one at Axle): How 'bout this one?
Axle: Are you kiddin'?
Hopper: Yeah, well, how 'bout this?!?
(Hopper yanks the stopper out of the grain dispenser. Axle and Loco are buried underneath a pile of grain. The room falls silent. Hopper walks on top of the pile.)
Hopper: If we let one ant stand up to us, then they all might stand up! Those puny, little ants outnumber us 100 to 1, and if they ever figure that out, there goes out way of life! That's why we're going back! Does anybody else want to say?
(The rest of the gang start their wings.)
Molt(ribs another grasshopper): Quite the motivational speaker, isn't he?
Hopper(starts his wings): Let's ride!
(Hopper and the others zoom off toward Ant Island.)
