Yuriko Star first met Captain Tylor before he was captain, when she, General Hanner, and his two daughters had been taken hostage by Raalgon terrorists. Now, though, she's his subordinate on the Soyokaze and often tries, usually to no avail, to make Tylor act like the captain she thinks he should. She eventually comes to realize his value as a commander, but that doesn't stop her from slapping him when he makes a come on...
